If you use an AI app such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, you can connect it to your Ledger of Alpha account. It can then read your watchlists and keep watchlists of its own up to date for you, for example a list of the stocks you watch that report earnings this week. It uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard those apps use to work with other services. It is on Essential and Pro.
How to connect
- Open Settings → Integrations and copy the server address under AI apps (MCP).
- In your AI app, add a custom connector (or MCP server) and paste that address. Each app names this slightly differently.
- The app opens a Ledger of Alpha page that says what it is asking for. Click Allow. Nothing is shared until you do.
What it can and cannot do
- It can read the names and symbols of your watchlists.
- It can create and update its own lists, with sections, like yours. They appear in the chart's watchlist menu under Managed by AI and look like your own lists, marked Updated by AI with the app's name and when it last changed them. You can fold their sections, sort and filter them; only the AI changes what is on them.
- It cannot change your lists. It also cannot see your trades, journal or balances.
- The app chooses the symbols itself. Ledger of Alpha does not pick or recommend them.
Undoing and removing
- Open an AI list in the watchlist menu and click Undo to put back the list as it was before the last update. Each Undo goes back one more update. Undoing the update that created a list removes the list.
- Delete removes an AI list. The app can make it again unless you disconnect it.
- To stop an app completely, click Disconnect next to it in Settings → Integrations. It loses access at once. The lists it made stay until you delete them.
The AI app is one you chose, not ours. It handles what it reads under its own terms, so check them before connecting. Ledger of Alpha keeps a record of every change an AI app makes to its lists.
