The getting-started checklist

The five steps on your dashboard, what each one unlocks, and how to make the card go away.

A new account shows a Getting started card at the top of the dashboard with five steps on it. It is not a tour and it is not a form — each step is something the app is actually for, and each one makes the next session better.

The five steps

  • Log your first trade. By hand or imported. Until there is one trade, every chart in the app is empty.
  • Bring your history in. Import a CSV from your broker, or connect one to sync automatically. Your past trades are what the breakdowns are made of.
  • Write down why. A note or a lesson on any trade. The numbers record what happened; this is the only place that records why — see journaling and review.
  • Reach ten trades. Roughly where the day-of-week, hour and setup breakdowns stop being noise.
  • Set what you’re working toward. A goal on one of your own metrics. If you have a prop-firm account, this step asks for the firm’s rules instead — either one completes it.

Making it go away

Press the × in the card’s top-right corner and it will not come back. It also disappears on its own once all five steps are done — there is no “well done” screen and nothing to click.

Nothing extra is recorded

There is no hidden progress table. Each step is worked out on the spot from things you can already see: your trades, whether any of them came from an import, whether any carry a note, and whether you have a goal or a set of firm rules. Delete the trade that completed a step and the step goes back to being open — which is the honest answer, because it is.
