Several parts of the app can generate a written analysis for you. All of them draw on the same monthly allowance, stated in AI actions — one action is one generation.
What counts as an AI action
- Trade review — the AI Autopsy on a trade in your journal. It reads the trade you recorded, including your own notes, mistakes and rating.
- Chart analysis — uploading a chart screenshot on Analytics to have patterns identified.
- Chart follow-up — each follow-up question you ask about an analysed screenshot.
- Market narrative — the AI summary on the Recap page, generated when you switch AI Analysis on. It reads the day’s indices, sectors, rates and volatility together with the day’s headlines and your own symbols — the ones you hold open or traded that day — and returns a risk-on / risk-off / mixed read, a short section per question (breadth, rotation, sentiment, what drove it, your symbols), and a closing note on risk posture. Symbol chips only ever show symbols it was actually given, so it cannot name a ticker you don’t hold and the news didn’t mention. It describes conditions and never gives buy or sell advice.
- Trade Q&A — asking a question about your own trades from the Analytics page.
Re-opening a trade review you already generated is free. The result is stored on the trade, so viewing it again costs nothing — only generating a new one, or pressing Regenerate, uses an action.
The support assistant has its own allowance
Questions you ask the assistant in the Help Center come out of a separate, much larger pool of support messages. Asking how something works never uses up your trade reviews.
How much your plan includes
- Free — 3 AI actions and 20 support messages per month.
- Essential — 30 AI actions and 100 support messages per month.
- Pro — 200 AI actions and 400 support messages per month.
The AI-action allowance is shared across all five features. On Free, 3 means three trade reviews, or three Q&A questions, or one of each plus a chart analysis — it is one monthly budget you spend however you like, not three per feature.
Limits on a single request
- Trade Q&A — up to 500 characters per question, and up to 15 questions in any 5 minutes. Each question is answered on its own: it does not remember your previous one, so ask follow-ups in full rather than as “and on Mondays?”.
- Support assistant — up to 1,000 characters per message, and up to 20 messages in any 5 minutes. It does remember the last few turns, so follow-ups work normally here.
- Trade reviews, chart analysis and the market narrative — no per-minute limit; your monthly allowance is the only cap.
The current count is shown next to every Generate button, and in full under Settings → Billing, which also breaks down what you have used it on this period.
When the allowance resets
At the start of your next billing period — so if you subscribed on the 15th, it resets on the 15th, not on the 1st. On a free account with no subscription, it resets at the start of each calendar month. Unused actions do not roll over.
If a generation fails
It does not use an action. The allowance is only charged for a result you actually receive, so retrying after an error costs you nothing.
What the AI can and cannot do
Trade Q&A answers are calculated from your own recorded trades using the same figures shown on the Analytics page — the AI writes the explanation, it does not do the arithmetic. The support assistant answers from the Help Center articles on this site and will tell you when something is not covered.
None of the AI features give trading, investment, tax or legal advice, and none of them predict markets. They describe what your records show and how the software works. See Metrics glossary for what each figure means.
