The daily recap opens on the market: four indices, eleven sectors, rates, volatility and the day’s headlines. Your Symbols is the one strip on that page that is yours — a short list of stocks or ETFs you want to see every day, shown directly under Major Indices with the same price and change.
Adding one
Press Edit beside the Your Symbols heading, search for a stock or ETF, and pick it. Press the × on a chip to remove it. There is no save button — each change is stored as you make it, and the prices refresh straight away.
How many you can track
Essential tracks two; Pro tracks five. The exact numbers are on the pricing page, which reads them from the same place the app does. When your list is full, the editor says so and offers the upgrade — remove one to swap it for another.
If you move from Pro down to Essential, nothing is deleted. Your full list is kept and the recap shows the first two; going back to Pro brings the rest back exactly as they were.
Stocks and ETFs only
This strip is scoped to equities. Futures roots, currency pairs and index quotes (ES=F, EURUSD=X, ^VIX) are not accepted here — several of those tickers mean two different instruments, and the strip has no way to say which one you meant. Use the chart or an alert for those.
A symbol that cannot be priced shows Price unavailable rather than a zero. A zero would look like a flat day, which is a real and completely different fact.
What the AI analysis does with them
If you generate the day’s AI analysis, these symbols are given to it as a watch list, kept separate from the positions you actually hold. That separation is deliberate: it lets the analysis mention a symbol you are watching without ever describing it as something you own.
This is not the watchlist
The full watchlist — sortable columns, sectors, live quotes — lives on the chart page and is unchanged. This is a short daily strip, not a second copy of it, and the two do not share a list.
