Apex's trailing floor follows your highest balance until it reaches your starting balance + $100 — $50,100 on a $50K account, $100,100 on a $100K account — and then stops. It gets there once your balance has climbed to the start + the drawdown + $100 ($52,600 on a $50K account).
Until 30 September 2026 the Apex presets stored that second number, the balance, as the place the floor stops. On an account that had made more than about $2,600, the floor then kept rising past $50,100, and the Prop page and the dashboard showed up to $2,500 less headroom than Apex does. It never showed more room than you had.
What changed
The presets now stop the floor at the starting balance + $100, and every account that had been set up from an Apex preset and still had the old value was corrected automatically. If you typed your own “Stops trailing at” figure, it was left exactly as you entered it.
To check yours, open the Prop page, choose the Apex account and press Edit rules: Stops trailing at should read your starting balance + $100. Apex's own dashboard is always the number that counts. See also Tracking a prop-firm account.
