A pass over the prop-firm pages in October 2026, walking them the way a prop trader does, found these. All are fixed; nothing you need to do unless a section says so.
One daily loss limit per prop account
A prop account had two daily limits: the firm's (on the Prop firm page) and the account's own (in Settings, used by New trade's risk warning and the position sizers). They did not know about each other, so a Topstep account could show “Daily loss —” in Settings and New trade never warned at the firm's line. Now, whenever the firm's rules set a daily limit, it is the account's limit — Settings shows it (read-only, change it in the firm's rules) and every warning uses it. If the firm sets none, your own limit stays yours.
The profit target when you are down
A seat below its starting balance read “$19,400 of the $10,000 target is not yet recorded”. It now reads “Down $9,400 — $19,400 to the $10,000 target”, and the Profit target tile shows the loss (−$105) instead of $0. Figures with cents also keep both digits ($2,704.70, not $2,704.7).
The phone's prop header matches the Prop firm page
On the phone's home screen the “Daily loss left” bar showed the share used, while the Prop firm page shows the share left, and some labels were cut short (“PROFIT TAR…”). The header now uses the same tiles as the Prop firm page.
Two “todays” on the dashboard
The dashboard's Today counts from your midnight; a futures firm's day starts at 5 PM Chicago, so the prop card's daily figure can include last evening's trades. The card now says so: “firm day from 17:00 CT”.
Costs on an evaluation → funded chain
In the cost ledger of a chained seat, every row carried the funded account's name — including the evaluation fee you paid for the evaluation. Each row now names the account it was spent on.
Settings tiles say where a prop account's trades came from
Every prop account's tile in Settings → Accounts said “from the platform's export”, even for trades you logged by hand. It now counts them.
The firm's day follows the firm's clock, wherever you are
The firm's “today” used to follow your own computer's clock, and your trades were read as if they were written in the firm's time zone. Outside Chicago that went wrong: a trader in Israel saw “today $0” in the middle of a session, one US session could split across two firm days, and an FTMO account kept in New York time ran about six hours late. Now the firm's day is worked out in the firm's own time zone, from your trades read in your Trade Timezone. The old “minutes vs the firm” setting is replaced by a time-zone picker that only a Tradovate file needs.
A broken limit stays broken
An account that broke a limit that ends it — FTMO's daily loss, say, or a close under a fixed floor — used to look healthy again after one green day (“Near the floor”, then “Active”). Now it keeps saying Limit exceeded with the day it happened, by your records, until you start the rules again (a new Rules start on date, as after a reset). A daily limit that only pauses the session (Topstep, Apex) never does this.
Dips during the day
Firms watch the floor and the daily limit in real time, not only at the close. If your closed trades took the balance under a fixed or end-of-day floor during the day, that now counts even when the day closed above it. Where only a trade's worst point (its maximum adverse excursion) reached the line, the page says so as an estimate and asks you to check the firm's dashboard — it never calls that a breach.
A payout lowers a funded account's balance
A payout you record in a funded seat's cost ledger now leaves that account's balance from its date, as it does at the firm — the headroom, the profit and “Your share” all drop by it. On a Topstep Express Funded account the floor also moves to the starting balance after the first payout (Topstep sets the maximum loss to $0). Your cash total is unchanged: a payout is still money in.
Prop alerts
An evaluation you have passed and chained to its funded account no longer sends alerts. The daily-limit alert says “(closed trades only)” when it could not price your open positions, so it no longer looks like it contradicts the Prop firm page. And a seat close to its floor is told so once a day even on a day you did not trade — unless it has already broken a limit that ends it.
Sizing on a prop account
On a $50,000 evaluation with a $2,000 drawdown, “1% risk” used to mean $500 — a quarter of everything you can lose before the firm closes the account. On a prop account the sizers and New trade's risk check now measure against the drawdown room: the dollars between your equity and the firm's floor, with any open position marked at the live price (so the room moves with the market, and on the phone it is shown, not typed). Your risk per trade is a share of that room, so 1% of a $2,000 room is $20; set the percent you actually mean under Settings → Accounts. Each one also says what a stop-out leaves of today's firm limit, and the desktop sizer shows the firm ceiling: the most units whose stop stays short of the nearer line. A stop that lands exactly on a line counts as reaching it. Nothing is blocked — you can always record what you did.
The TopstepX import preview
The preview said “Times are kept as New York” right above “TopstepX… converts to Chicago”. It now says what happens: TopstepX stamps its trades in UTC and they are converted to Chicago time. The “Imported 11 trades” message also no longer appears twice — the import's record stays in your notifications. See Importing from Tradovate and TopstepX.
