On 12 October 2026 every prop-firm preset was read again from the firms' own help centres. Several of the September numbers were wrong, and some of them changed what the Prop page and the dashboard told you.
What was wrong
- Topstep's floor is end-of-day, not intraday. Topstep sets the maximum loss at the end of each trading day and watches it in real time. We had treated it as intraday, so a Topstep seat showed an “estimated” floor. It is now exact.
- Reaching Topstep's daily loss limit is a pause, not a failure. Topstep calls it “a forced break for the rest of that session”. We showed Limit exceeded, the same as a failed account. A seat that reaches a pausing limit now says Paused for today, and the alert says trading resumes when the day resets. Topstep's daily limit is also optional at checkout, so the preset leaves it blank and offers the figure in one click if you chose it.
- Topstep's consistency rule raises the target. It is 55% (not 50%): if your best day is more than 55% of the profit target, the target rises to that day ÷ 0.55. We showed a red percentage instead. The Profit target tile now shows the raised target.
- Apex's current evaluations. The $50K drawdown is $2,000 ($1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 across 25K–150K), there is no minimum number of days and no consistency rule, and the evaluation's floor does not stop at $50,100 (that is the funded Performance Account rule). The $2,500 drawdown and seven days belong to Apex's legacy plan, which is now its own preset.
- The Apex $100K Static is no longer sold, and its floor was $99,375 (a $625 drawdown), not the $99,350 we stored. It is no longer offered; an account saved with it keeps its rules and says so.
What happens to rules you already saved
Nothing changes by itself. You may hold an older programme the firm still honours, so a re-read preset never rewrites your numbers. Instead the seat on the Prop page and the rules form say which fields differ from the current preset, with Use the current numbers to take them. If you bought Apex's legacy plan, choose Legacy Evaluation (Full) instead.
Two settings were added to every rules form and filled in for you: Reaching the daily limit (pauses the day, or ends the account) and Consistency does (raises the target, or holds payouts). Accounts set up from a Topstep or Apex preset were switched to “pauses the day”; funded accounts to “holds payouts”.
New programmes
Topstep Express Funded (Standard and Consistency payout paths) and Topstep Labs; Apex EOD evaluations, Performance Accounts (intraday and EOD) and the legacy plan; FTMO's Verification step and 1-Step Challenge, in every size. Pick the firm, then the programme, then the size. Each preset still says the date it was read, and your firm's dashboard is always the number that counts. See Tracking a prop-firm account.
