The chart page offers two modes per tab, switchable from the toolbar: Studio and TradingView. Studio is the default.
Studio
- Our own charting engine with a full drawing toolset.
- Drawings persist per symbol — they're still there when you come back.
- Indicators that persist across sessions, snapshots, timezone control, and fullscreen.
- Seven chart types, from the button before Indicators: Candles, Hollow, Bars, Line, Area, Baseline and Heikin Ashi. Heikin Ashi only changes how the bars are drawn: the price, your alerts and your drawings still use the real prices.
TradingView
- The familiar TradingView widget, if you prefer its interface and tools.
- Its drawings are not saved by Ledger of Alpha — that's the main reason Studio exists.
Rule of thumb: use Studio when you want your analysis to stick, and TradingView for quick, throwaway looks. Saved drawings require an Essential or Pro plan.
If a Studio chart opens zoomed in
Before 5 October 2026, a Studio chart you reached from another page (Dashboard → Chart, for example) could open showing only the last few candles stretched across the whole pane, with the Volume pane squeezed to a thin strip, until you turned the scroll wheel once. The chart is kept alive behind the other pages and was laying itself out while hidden. That is fixed — a chart now paints the same whichever way you arrive. If you still see it, reload the page once so the browser picks up the current version.
More room for the chart
Click the double arrow at the far right of the chart tabs to hide the top bar. The chart takes its height, the page remembers your choice on this device, and the other pages keep their top bar. Click the arrow again to bring it back. Keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl K keep working while it's hidden.
