Strategies are now Blueprints. They moved from Settings → Strategies to their own page, Blueprints, in the sidebar. Nothing was lost: the same names, the same checklists and the same ids, so every trade keeps the strategy it was tagged with.
Two halves
- Checklist — the items you tick by hand in the trade form and on every practice order in a backtest.
- Conditions — rules a backtest can check on past bars: Market (whether to trade at all, e.g. “SPY is above its 200 SMA”), Entry (what opens a position, e.g. “the low touches the 20 EMA and the bar closes above it”) and Exit (a stop, which defines 1R, plus an optional target in R and a time limit).
Each condition reads as a sentence; click any word in it to change it. Allmeans every condition in a block must hold, Any at least one. The In plain words card reads the whole Blueprint back so you can check it says what you meant.
Versions
Saving a change to the conditions or the checklist creates a new version (v2, v3 …); a new name or description saves in place. Where it is used counts your trades and backtests under the version that was current when each was logged, so editing a Blueprint never rewrites the past.
Running a backtest on it
Run backtest (Pro) opens a new practice session with the Blueprint picked. In the replay, bars where every Market and Entry condition held get a ◆ mark, To next signal plays until the next one, the order panel shows each condition at the current bar, and Use Blueprint exits puts the stop and target where the Exit rules say. With a position open, the order panel shows the Blueprint’s exits and how many bars are left before its time exit; on that bar the replay pauses and asks you to close at the next open — it never closes for you. Results then splits your trades into those that followed the exits and those where a level was moved or the trade was held past the limit. Every check uses past bars only. A condition on an index such as SPY needs that index’s bars too; if they cannot be loaded, the condition reads – and no signal can pass it.
A session keeps the conditions it started with, so its marks do not change if you edit the Blueprint later. When you open a session whose Blueprint has changed since, the order panel says so and offers Update to vN: the new conditions are taken and the marks are worked out again. A new checklist comes too, unless the session already has orders — their ticks belong to the checklist they were placed with. This is a record of how rules behaved on past prices — not a prediction and not advice.
